Before the official release of the PX-MiEV plug-in hybrid crossover concept at the Tokyo motor show, the Mitsubishi has displayed it.
It is motorized by two permanent magnet synchronous electric motors (one at the front and one at the rear) that produce the combined output of 80bhp. And the motors give out 147lb ft of torque.
Further, from a 1.6-litre petrol engine is produced and it can power the front wheels and can perform as a generator. Also it has a power output of 114bhp and it can turn out 92lb ft of torque.
The front motor is powered by the lithium-ion battery at low speeds and on snow, ice and other rough terrains both motors are powered to facilitate its four-wheel drive mode.
The company has said that it has been developed to make a clean, stress-free and Safe & reassuring theme. It has displayed i-MiEV Cargo and that is based on its all-electric i-MiEV city car.
